This is one of my new favourite photo blogs. There are some really great photos, but more importantly: holy heck that dog is amazing!

Versa has a new video out! It’s slightly NSFW - there’s naked folks with body paint on, and some boobies. (No, they’re not mine. Sorry to disappoint / you’re welcome for sparing you from that.) If you’re on the Facebook machine, we have a contest on our page where you can win tickets to our show this weekend or a copy of our last album by sharing this video. Enjoy!
Want to nerd out with a super neat drawing program? Try this one out, it’s pretty fun!
Happy “On Paper” day.
We played a show at Lucky Bar back in February and did a cover of Mogwai’s “New Paths to Helicon”. The video angle here is weird, but the sound is really great (other than that I’m out of tune in the beginning…).
I posted some photos of Kathryn Calder’s Record Store Day performance at Ditch Records up on my Flickr page. Easter egg: @tysonelder and @nopicnic make an appearance.
I’ve been catching up on the latest season of AV Undercover and there are some really great covers this year. I think there’s a three way tie for the best one so far. The first is a joint collaboration between Cursive and Cymbals Eat Guitars doing the Gin Blossoms:

The second is The Punch Brothers doing a fantastic version of my favourite Cars song, “Just What I Needed”:
If the Punch Brothers sound familiar, they’ve also done an amazing version of Radiohead’s “2+2=5” that’s well worth a listen. (Speaking of which, I really need to try make it down to Pickathon one of these years.)
The third awesome thing from this year’s AV Undercover is a group from Memphis called Lucero doing David Bowie’s “Modern Love”:
It’s a tough call, but I think this is my favourite of the three.
Month of May, month of May, month, month, month, month, month of May. Surprisingly, using that works quite well if you don’t want to learn any of the lyrics. This is my favourite song from Arcade Fire’s albumĀ The Suburbs and it’s been stuck in my head all day.
